• How can I access the Gronn Kontakt charging network?

    For the time being, our network can be accessed using the Gronn Kontakt App available on the App Store and Google Play Store or via the Driver Portal.

    It is currently not possible to order new charge cards.  Find out more about how to charge on our network here.

  • How do I start and stop a charge?

    Find a charge point in the App/Driver Portal and follow the instructions.

  • Can I charge my vehicle without setting up a Gronn Kontakt account?

    Absolutely, we want your charging experience to be as easy as possible therefore you can use the app or driver portal as a guest user. All you have to do is click on ‘Find a charge point’ in the App or the Driver Portal and follow the instructions.

    You will be asked to enter your bank card details and provide an email address so we can email you your payment receipt.

  • What are the benefits of signing up to your network?

    As a registered user you will be billed monthly rather than after each charge and you will have access to your charging history including time, date, location, and costs. We will also introduce membership benefits in the next few months.

    Good to know! Your log in details will work across the App and the Driver Portal.

  • How long can I stay at a charge point?

    Some charge points will have an overstay fee applied after a grace period when a vehicle is connected and not charging. When selecting a charge point in the App or Driver Portal click on ‘More details’ to find out more.

    The applicable overstay fee when a vehicle is connected to the charge point and not charging is £0.05/min on charge points up to 22kW and £0.20/min on charge points from 50kW. Please check if local parking fees apply to the location.

  • I am experiencing a technical issue on one of your charge points, what should I do?

    Call our helpline available 24/7 on 020 3884 2768. Please specify the socket identification number when calling us, this number is located near each charge point socket(s).

  • Where can I find the power of your charge points?

    The maximum power of the charge point is specified in the App/Driver Portal when selecting a charge point. You can also filter results by power when looking for charge points.

  • Why are you rebranding so soon?

    We need to consolidate our existing European EV charging brands under one new identity,  which will reflect our strong values and mission across borders.

  • When will you rebrand and what should we expect?

    We aim to complete our rebranding in early 2021. We will be developing a new visual identity that will be showcased across our new App, Driver Portal, as well as our redesigned website.

    Our charge points will also be rebranded to reflect our new visual identity.

  • I am a former Vattenfall InCharge customer, can I still use my charge card to charge on your network?

    We have now transitioned from Vattenfall InCharge’s to Gronn Kontakt ‘s EV charging network. As a result, we have introduced a brand-new App and Driver Portal – please use these to charge your vehicle on our network.

    • Who do you work with?

      We work with businesses of all types and sizes to offer charging for employees, fleets and/or customers.

      We offer local authorities EV charging on street, in car parks, and on-route on both public and private land.

    • What services do you provide?

      We take care of everything from site survey to charge point(s) installation and grid connection. We can also set you up on our operator portal so you can manage your charge points and provide you with charge cards (if applicable). We work with OLEV approved installers all over the UK.

      With a wide choice of service packages and funding options available, we can tailor your solution to fit your needs and give you maximum value.

    • What type of chargers do you offer?

      We are partnering with the best hardware manufacturers to offer you fast and rapid charge points.

      Fast chargers (7 – 22 kW) also called, destination charging, suitable for when drivers will stay for a few hours or more – such as close to home, at work, or whilst running errands.

      Rapid chargers (43 – 350 kW) are often found on motorways and other areas where dwell time is low, such as service stations. It is useful for drivers who need to charge and go, and therefore will usually command a premium over regular fast charging.

    • Do you offer warranty?

      All our hardware comes with a manufacturer’s warranty of 2-3 years, depending on the hardware, we also offer the option to purchase extended warranty on some of our units.

    • Do you have any accreditations?

      We have been awarded a Management System Standards certificate for the supply, installation, operation and maintenance of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This certificate demonstrates our commitment to continual improvement and sustainable business performance.

      • ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational health and safety management system

    • What are the Gronn Kontakt Operator and Driver Portals?

      With the Operator Portal you can manage your charge points and consult usage statistics, whilst the Driver Portal will let you view charge points and related pricing, start and stop a charge, follow up on charging history, and add additional members to your account.

    • How can we generate revenue with EV charging?

      You can generate revenue by opening your charge points to the public, create a private system for staff and fleet, or attract customers with free charging.

    • What is the cost of charging?

      As the owner of the charge point(s) you will be able to set the pricing yourself. Our flexible platform offers a wide range of possible pricing models and we would be happy to help you find the pricing level and model that fit you best.

    • How does billing work?

      Our platform will charge the users of your charge point(s) automatically according to the pricing you will have chosen, with minimum manual effort required from you. We currently offer bank card payment and are looking into additional payment methods.

    • Can you provide electricity to the charge points?

      Yes, we offer 100% green electricity supply in conjunction with Statkraft’s energy businesses.
